“Adios AIRBEAT ONE!”
The farewell cry echoed across the airfield at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, as the final basslines of Germany’s largest electronic music festival dissolved into the early light. Over 200,000 festivalgoers had come together for an electrifying four-night, three-day celebration—the 22nd edition of AIRBEAT ONE, held once again in Neustadt-Glewe. For a brief moment, this airfield became the third-largest city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, buzzing with visitors from every corner of Germany and more than 50 countries worldwide.
Under the 2025 banner “Viva España,” the festival delivered an awe-inspiring tribute to Spanish culture. The Mainstage—staggering in scale at 180 meters wide and 45 meters tall—towered like a surreal dreamscape, blending the majestic curves of Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia with the iconic arches of Madrid’s Las Ventas bullring. Even the smaller stages followed suit: the Terminal stage, styled like a classic Spanish hacienda, and the Harder Stage, fronted by a massive bull’s head sculpture, fully immersed fans in the Iberian flair.
Across six infield stages, more than 250 DJs and artists unleashed over 225 hours of music that touched every corner of the electronic spectrum. Dance music royalty descended upon northern Germany: Armin van Buuren, Alok, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Oliver Heldens, Timmy Trumpet, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Aoki turned the airfield into a sonic playground. Aoki even squeezed in some backstage table tennis before dropping an exclusive “AFROKI” set with Afrojack.

Dutch star Oliver Heldens shouted out, “I love you, Airbeat One!” after performing both solo and under his techno alias HI-LO at the Arena Stage. The techno power surged further when Boris Brejcha, Deborah De Luca, and Amelie Lens took over the Mainstage, with Lens making her AIRBEAT ONE 2025 debut in unforgettable style.
The Arena Stage became a mecca for techno fans. Legends like 999999999, Basswell, Eli Brown, I Hate Models, and Charlie Sparks kept things raw and relentless. German techno talent shined just as brightly—Lilly Palmer, Holy Priest, and Klangkuenstler were nothing short of sensational.
Meanwhile, inside the Terminal tent, the atmosphere was electric. Schwerin’s own KXXMA and Stuttgart’s Le Shuuk tore it up, while local favorites like VIZE, Gestört aber GeiL, BigTim, Die Gebrüder Brett, and Cascada brought homegrown fire. Spain’s B-Jones and STBAN brought their Latin heat to the decks, adding extra spice to the mix.
Over in the VIP Camping Village, nostalgia reigned at the Butterfly Stage. Classics flowed from legends like Quicksilver, Da Hool, Special D., and Groove Coverage. But the nightly fan-favorite? The raucous “Mallorca Power Hour,” where island icons Mia Julia, Isi Glück, and Frenzy delivered pure party energy from 10:00 to 11:00 p.m.
For lovers of harder sounds, AIRBEAT ONE 2025 delivered a sonic tsunami. Angerfist, Da Tweekaz, Dr. Peacock, Jebroer, Miss K8, Ran-D, Sickmode, Sub Zero Project, and Lil Texas shook the foundations. Genre heavyweight Brennan Heart made festival history by becoming the first Hardstyle artist ever to close the Mainstage on a Friday night.
The Second Stage—powered by the Indian Spirit Festival—offered mind-bending sets of Goa and PsyTrance and this year embraced Trance icons as well. The crown jewel? Paul van Dyk’s premiere of his brand-new anthem “Power,” leaving trance fans breathless under a starlit sky.
Then came Saturday night’s showstopper. At exactly 1:30 a.m., the sky exploded in a blaze of red and yellow fireworks, a tribute to the Spanish theme. Moments later, Armin van Buuren took command of the decks, delivering a euphoric closing set that lit up the night and left hearts racing.
The town of Neustadt-Glewe opened its arms once again, welcoming the world with signature warmth. Thursday’s traditional Opening Night saw over 2,000 locals join in the fun for free. Even Manuela Schwesig, Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, made an appearance on Saturday, underscoring the cultural significance of the event. As always, the atmosphere remained peaceful and full of positive energy, with guests, staff, and authorities sharing mutual respect.

On the logistical side, improvements from previous years paid off big. The early check-in on Tuesday and the repositioning of North Camping and Parking Lot P4 ensured smooth arrivals. Over 7,000 campers had already set up by Tuesday—and not a single traffic jam in sight. The expansion of the Wednesday Pre-Opening Party across four stages (Arena, Terminal, Second, and Butterfly) was a massive hit, drawing enthusiastic crowds.
The grand finale wrapped with a double surprise: not only an epic fireworks display but also the official reveal of next year’s theme and date. Mark your calendars: July 9–12, 2026. The 23rd edition of AIRBEAT ONE 2025 will whisk fans away to the Netherlands—land of windmills, tulips, and some of the most legendary DJs on Earth.
