Iceland Eclipse Festival 2026 Reveals Third Contact Lineup Featuring Global Stars and Local Talent

Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Iceland — 12-15 August 2026 — The Iceland Eclipse Festival 2026 has unveiled its Third Contact programming, promising a festival experience like no other. Expanding upon its previous announcements, this latest lineup introduces a diverse array of international and Icelandic artists, wellness practitioners, scientists, and cultural innovators. Festival passes and accommodations are now back on sale, giving attendees the rare opportunity to witness Iceland’s last total solar eclipse until 2196.

Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Hellissandur—glaciers, craters, black sand beaches, and cascading waterfalls—the Iceland Eclipse Festival 2026 combines music, art, science, space, and technology in an intimate setting capped at 3,333 guests. This limited capacity ensures an immersive environment for personal connection, creativity, and discovery.

The Iceland Eclipse Festival 2026 is structured around four pillars: DANCE, LEARN, CONNECT, and EXPLORE, seamlessly integrating performances, educational sessions, wellness experiences, and nature-based excursions. Each pillar functions as a self-contained ecosystem while allowing festival-goers to move fluidly between music, knowledge, and immersive experiences, all while sharing the wonder of Iceland’s natural beauty.

The Portal: Innovation Residency and Immersive Retreat

From 19 July to 15 August 2026, The Portal at Iceland Eclipse Festival 2026 will host a month-long immersive residency and co-creation container. Artists, scientists, astronauts, and cultural innovators collaborate in workshops, wellness sessions, and creative studios amidst Iceland’s dramatic landscapes.

This residency culminates on 12 August 2026, during the total solar eclipse, where ideas and projects born in The Portal come alive through performances, interactive installations, and multidisciplinary collaborations. The Portal offers festival attendees a unique perspective, allowing them to witness innovation, creativity, and science intersect with art in real-time.

Cosmic Connection: Wellness, Wisdom, and Mindful Experiences

The Cosmic Connection area, curated by Cosmic Pineapple founder Kim Booth, is a dedicated space for wellness, movement, and esoteric self-exploration at Iceland Eclipse Festival 2026. Participants can engage in yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, ecstatic dance, mantra, and cacao ceremonies. Inner psychological work, including family constellation exercises and inner child exploration, deepens self-awareness and personal transformation.

The nightly Sacred Fire provides storytelling sessions with Icelandic elders and global cultural teachers, accompanied by intimate performances from Ayla Schafer, Curawaka, and other Third Contact artists. Additional wellness offerings include massage, energy work, and restorative lounges, making Cosmic Connection a central hub for introspection, community building, and rejuvenation.

Icelandic Talent and Cultural Integration

A cornerstone of the Iceland Eclipse Festival 2026 is its commitment to local talent. Icelandic performers and creators, including Agzilla, Bensol, Carla Rose, Cell7, Gunnar Ólafsson, Orang Volante, and Samwise, are showcased alongside global artists. By amplifying local voices and integrating cultural traditions, the festival strengthens community ties and enriches the creative ecosystem of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

Through cultural programming and nature-based explorations, attendees connect with both Icelandic heritage and international artistry. Icelandic storytelling, local rituals, and site-specific excursions immerse festival-goers in the land and its history, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience that merges culture, science, and artistic innovation.

Totality: The Solar Eclipse Experience

The Iceland Eclipse Festival 2026 will culminate on 12 August with a total solar eclipse, providing a rare astronomical event paired with immersive performances, workshops, and interactive experiences. With over 100 participating artists, speakers, and facilitators, the festival offers a unique intersection of music, wellness, technology, and culture.

The festival’s Fourth Contact announcement, expected in February 2026, will complete the line-up, promising additional international and Icelandic talent across all four pillars: DANCE, LEARN, CONNECT, and EXPLORE.
