Sally C Unleashes Remixes of Cromby’s ‘House Flava’ by Peach and CARISTA

Big Saldo’s Chunkers, Sally C’s ever-evolving label and creative playground, just dropped another heater. Hot on the heels of Papa Nugs’ debut and the still-smouldering ‘DR Pleasure’ collab with Eliza Rose, the Chunkers camp returns with two electrifying remixes of Cromby’s standout track, ‘House Flava’ — this time reimagined by the ever-original Peach and Dutch phenom CARISTA.

A cornerstone of the Summer ’24 soundtrack, ‘House Flava’ didn’t just make waves — it caused a tidal shift. Touted as Track of the Year by DJ Mag and rinsed relentlessly on BBC Radio 1, it became a secret weapon for the likes of Job Jobse, Chloe Caillet, NIKS, Moxie, Midland and a sea of others. It was infectious, undeniable — pure Chunker magic.

“For me, Cromby, and our whole crew – ‘House Flava’ was 2024,” Sally reflects. “Chris [Cromby] sent it over the moment he wrapped it, and we just knew — it had that Chunker DNA. Now, with summer 2025 around the corner, we’re flipping the script with two insane remixes. I’m fully hooked – I can’t stop playing them!”

Peach, a long-time supporter of the original, serves up a spaced-out, stripped-back roller. Her remix pulses with hypnotic energy, balancing a deep, swinging low-end with her signature quirky touches. “There’s only one Peach,” Sally adds. “Her vibe, her wild energy, her finesse behind the decks — she’s turned this into a late-night body-melter that oozes sex appeal.”

Then comes CARISTA — stepping in with a fierce, after-hours rework. Known for her uncompromising beats and acid-laced attitude, she drags ‘House Flava’ into murky, bass-heavy territory. The original vox remains, but everything else is twisted into a tougher, darker groove that belongs in smoky basements and euphoric 5am festival sets. “CARISTA is a beast,” Sally says with a grin. “Her remix is exactly what Chunkers is about — heavyweight, stripped-back, and seriously chunky.”

Peach on her remix:
“Flipping ‘House Flava’ was a joy and a challenge. I adore the original, so I leaned into something sleazy and late-night — a little wiggy, a little trippy, but still true to the vibe.”

CARISTA adds:
“Working on this remix was an honour and a blast. I’ve hung out with Sally and Cromby a few times — they’re legends. When Sally asked, I was in without hesitation. I kept the iconic bits — that vocal, the bass, those stabs — but added my own weight to make it hit harder for the rave heads.”

Chunkers just levelled up. Again.
