Mercury KX is thrilled to present the debut album by electronic producer and DJ ANNA, titled Intentions.

The result of a journey of self-discovery that revolutionized her creative process and perspective, ANNA trades in her coarser, club-driven production for sound healing frequencies and ambient sensibilities in Intentions. In order to get the most out of the album, ANNA has included a listening guide that suggests setting an intention before listening to each of the chosen tracks.

“I’m a conduit in the creation of this album. I observed its formation, how the right energies and inputs and people enriched it for greater texture and meaning. But – INTENTIONS has its own aura, its own will on how it wants to be expressed in the world. Including how you – yes, you – uniquely receive it” explains ANNA

The electronic composition of ANNA, in contrast to the monotony of many contemporary ambient albums, is full of intriguing promise. As a method of improving oneself Each song on Intentions is free and full of life in the feelings it evokes.

ANNA’s Anaweh Studio was the setting for the album’s recording, and it highlights the musician’s fluting and synthesizer work. Other highlights include her work with electro-acoustic and contemporary classical heavyweights East Forest on the song “Let You In,” and her previously released, spiritually oriented ambient piece “I See Miracles Everywhere,” which fuses her unique electronic music savoir-faire with sound therapy.

Additional collaborations with legendary ambient pioneer Laraaji are featured, as with remixes by London-based electronica/techno producer Max Cooper and Grammy nominee/winner Jon Hopkins.

The album has received airplay from respected music tastemakers including Benji B and Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 6, Smooth Chill on Sirius XM Chill, and Sirius XM Chill.

This record is a magnificent example of the idea of least effort. the practice of letting a thought or emotion to develop naturally. In the effortlessness with which the music was written; in the coincidence of every name, concept, and collaboration. There won’t be any restrictions, fights, or coercion,” ANNA said.

Cover art for Intentions, which features the musical talents of Massive Attack, Nick Cave, Grace Jones, and David Bowie, was created by Tom Hingston, founder and CEO of the highly regarded design firm Hingston agency. ANNA and Tom Hingston engaged in a lengthy creative process together to develop the brand’s visual identity (see out the visualisers here), which consists of intricate and precise 3D-renders of natural components meant to evoke a sense of movement.

She always loved music and got her start as a DJ when she was just 14 years old. Her family has a long history in the music business, dating back to the nightclub her father owned and ran in the countryside outside of So Paulo. A real techno sensation, ANNA has always been in high demand.

There are about 48 million Spotify users that have heard her songs. She has performed on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix and in a live-streamed event for Cercle that more than 3.6 million people viewed. She has also performed at major festivals such as Movement Detroit, Tomorrowland, DC10, and Coachella.
