Paul van Dyk and DJ Pierre (also known as PHUTURE) are two of the most well-known names in electronic music. Together, they have released a ground-breaking and exhilarating composition titled “ACID TRAXXX.” On October 20th, as part of the ACID TRAXXX EP, this historic collaboration will be released digitally and on vinyl exclusively through VANDIT Alternative.

The groundbreaking acid house sounds of DJ Pierre and the hypnotic energy for which Paul van Dyk is known combine on the upcoming album ‘ACID TRAXXX,’ which has all the makings of a genre-defining release in the electronic music world. The song bridges the gap between traditional and modern electronic music styles, harnessing PHUTURE’s ‘Acid Tracks’ from 1987 to create an unforgettable listening experience that will appeal to listeners of all ages.

Grammy-nominated artist and internationally renowned DJ/producer Paul van Dyk has spoken enthusiastically about the opportunity to work with DJ Pierre, saying, “Working with DJ Pierre has been a dream come true.” He was essential in the development of modern music, and his ground-breaking work with the Roland TB-303 is often cited as a turning point in the history of electronic music. We set out to make a song that both acknowledges electronic music’s heritage and expands its sound horizons for the benefit of its audience.

A major innovator of the acid house scene, DJ Pierre said, “Working with Paul has been a wonderful experience. “ACID TRAXXX” is a culmination of our respective musical backgrounds, and it perfectly encapsulates our shared values as artists working in electronic music.

The unrelenting, high-energy track “ACID TRAXXX” combines the acid house genre’s distinctive 303 basslines and squelchy synthesizers with uplifting melodies and driving percussion. This song is highly anticipated by fans of electronic music and is projected to be a standout in both performers’ upcoming live shows.

Paul van Dyk and DJ Pierre, in honor of the release of ‘ACID TRAXXX,’ will participate in a panel discussion titled “Evolution Of Electronic Music” on October 20 at Our House Museum in Amsterdam as part of the Amsterdam Dance Event. The night, hosted by Mixmag’s Megan Townsend, will feature sonic exploration and insightful conversations with pioneers Paul van Dyk and DJ Pierre, who will demonstrate the seamless fusion of their musical expertise while discussing the past, present, and future of the electronic music landscape.
